Retail Sales Assistant

**Position title: Full Time Retail Sales Assistant (must be available on Saturdays)**
**Location: MINISO at Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre**
**Position Summary**
Retail Sales Assistant needs to proactively provide exceptional service and support to external and internal customers in an efficient and effective manner to achieve store targets. Supporting the Store Manager on daily store operation. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximization.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Till & Counter Operations**:
⚫ Accurate and efficient handling of all point of sale transactions, either cash or card payments, and reconciliations
⚫ Ensure that all product is currently and efficiently rung on the till
⚫ Advise the Store Manager of any discrepancies between the till and shelf prices.
⚫ Be responsible for the cash (including float) at the designated till.
⚫ Maintain friendly and helpful customer service with a positive, cheerful manner.
⚫ Keep customer delays to a minimum.
**Departmental**:
⚫ Maintain a clean and tidy store to a standard as set by management
⚫ Maintain a fully stocked store
⚫ Housekeeping and recovery of displays must be conducted each morning
⚫ Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments
⚫ Checking of products for damages, theft and accuracy of coding/pricing.
⚫ Rotation of departmental stock continually. This includes retrieval from store room.
⚫ Ensure that the department or area is usually attractive to customers in all facets of pricing, display, ticketing and housekeeping as set by the Store Manager.
⚫ Participate in inter departmental tasks when applicable.
⚫ Manage the upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures and fabric of shop premises.
⚫ Action store inter store transfers as applicable.
⚫ Participate in organized Company Sales & Service program and event.
⚫ Stocktaking - manual counting in stock takes as directed
**Customer service**:
⚫ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
⚫ Develop and deliver new and innovative merchandising ideas to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
⚫ Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
⚫ Welcome and greet customers
⚫ Accurately describe product features and benefits
**Others**
⚫ Adhere to company policies and procedures
⚫ Any other ad hoc tasks that arise at the request of the Store Manager.
⚫ Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by, reporting all accidents and hazards, avoiding unsafe practices at work; meeting the strategies and goals of the H&S Manual.
⚫ Communicating care and passion for the Company and its Brands
⚫ Strive to be positive and constructive at all time
⚫ Respect and support all of the team that you are working with to ensure the achievement of goals
⚫ Volunteer for projects as is practical outside your normal scope to widen your contribution to the overall success of the company
⚫ Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested and or required
