Laboratory Technician

GHD are proud to have one of Australasia's largest Geotechnical practices. Our clients tap into more than 150 specialist geoscience professionals, including engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and hydrogeologists who provide comprehensive investigation and design services, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.

We have a new and exciting Laboratory Technician role working in our NATA Accredited Geotechnical Testing Laboratory in Artarmon.

Working in a great team environment your role will involve:

- Soil and rock sample preparation
- laboratory testing of soil, rock and aggregates to relevant Australian and State Standards
- Laboratory maintenance and sample inventory
- Equipment calibration
- Plan and conduct laboratory testing
- Communicating with the team and our stakeholders
- Record and present data
- Contribute to the achievement of quality objectives
- Participate in laboratory workplace safety
- Participate in Laboratory Accreditation requirements

What you will bring to the team
- Minimum 2 years experience in a geotechnical testing laboratory performing AS1289, AS4133, AS1141 & TfNSW test methods
- Physical and Hands-on work involving manual handling
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and enthusiasm
- Good team skills
- Completed minimum Year 10
