**Your Role in Our Vision**

As a Tree Management Officer, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing trees and bushland within the Shire. Your expertise will ensure that we maintain a balanced canopy while effectively managing associated risks. You will be the point of contact for tree-related inquiries, providing accurate and timely advice to contractors, the community, and internal partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough inspections of trees related to complaints, requests, or assessments.
- Representing the Council in legal matters related to trees in various courts.
- Educating residents and staff on sustainable canopy management practises.

**Who You Are**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who is nearing completion of a Degree in Landscape Architecture or holds a Certificate IV in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or an equivalent qualification. You should have a Class C Driver's Licence and a NSW OH&S General Induction White Card.
- Demonstrated experience in tree assessment and management.
- Strong negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in using PC systems, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication and people skills to foster collaboration and constructive feedback.

- **Interview date**:Interviews will be facilitated two weeks from advert closing.
- **Package**:$93,854 - $99,489 (fte) gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- **Hours of work**:Temporary Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flex-time arrangement. Part time hours may be considered. **This temporary opportunity is expected to be available from 25th August 2025 for 6 months.**:
