Gis Officer

**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity to work in our Environment & Sustainability team As the GIS Officer you will be responsible for the management of GIS information systems for the Environmental and Sustainability team.

On a daily basis you will:

- Accurately capture spatial and aspatial data as directed.
- Update and maintain Council’s spatial and aspatial data.
- Undertake and deliver large scale projects on time that include the provision of comprehensive cartographic output.
- Provision of data for City of Parramatta Corporate GIS System and GIS Online.

**About You**

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a GIS discipline or Mapping or Remote Sensing Techniques.
- NSW C Class driver’s license.

**Experience**:

- Approximately 5 year’s practical GIS experience with Local Government.
- Clearly demonstrated experience with GIS and Property related systems and software.
- Experience in online title searching (NSW Land Titles) and/or Internet mapping systems.

**Skills**:

- Proven practical experience in data capture.
- Experience in Relational Databases and SQL.
- Proven experience in spreadsheet, database and word processing software.
- Proven practical knowledge and experience in one or more GIS software products.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative and project management skills.
- Demonstrated high level analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on findings and GIS outputs.

**What’s on offer**:
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $82,408 to $90,775 plus 11% superannuation.
