**Job Description**:
**Our Family**:

- We have a 7 month old daughter with an easy going nature, she loves to explore and is constantly on the move. We also have a high energy, affectionate miniature labradoodle called Winnie. Parents are both doctors with mum returning to work next year. We are a friendly, relaxed family and would like to welcome a nanny initially part time for the remainder for the year, if we find the right fit for our daughter and would like to stay on, we will be looking for a full time nanny from January 2025.

**Your Duties**:

- Major responsibilities: - Act in a reliable, responsible punctual and mature manner - Create a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment - Supervise all activities at all times - Plan and execute in-home activities
- both indoors and outdoors - Plan and execute out-of-home activities
- both indoors and outdoors - Plan and lead age appropriate educational activities, including reading, music, craft etc. - Encourage both interactive and independent play - Reinforce safety, with a particular focus on safety around the home, road and stair safety - Technology: no television, iPads and other electronic devices at this age are to be used as a visual activity (listening to music is accepted). When she is asleep use of your personal device is acceptable - Meals: family will have prepared and planned nutritionally balanced meals for our daughter, you may be required to serve and supervise feeding if she is in your care during a meal time - Manage nap times (including preparation of bottles as required) - Daily bathing (if required due to messy play - ordinarily this will be done by parents upon their return home however work schedules may prohibit this on occasion) - Changing of nappies - Ensure hat and sunscreen are on for any play outside - Housework: general household cleaning is not required as we have a cleaner. Your role will require you to perform housework related to our daughter;
- cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas and washing bottles and breast milk equipment - Teach and reinforce good manners (please, thank you, taking turns, being seated at meal times etc.) - Teach and reinforce appropriate and respectful social interaction and play - Administration of medicine as appropriate and agreed upon after discussion with parents. Escalation to GP or ambulance as required Other responsibilities: - Maintenance of daily record/log book to assist in handovers (e.g. food intake, milk intake, nappies, any issues etc.) - Maintenance of 'kitty' for agreed costs and activities - Communicate special requests with parents ('the employer') as appropriate (e.g. visitors to the home, special outings) - Communicate transparently and honestly with parents ('the employer') at all times - Create an environment and relationship where you become an extension of our family unit - Pets: our household has a miniature Labradoodle called Winnie. You are not required to provide any care for our pet but you will need to be comfortable with a dog in your presence. If you do chose to pat and throw the ball for her, you will have a friend for life
