Our client is looking to take on several Bus Drivers to work on their school runs and Urban routes on a casual, on-going basis with 20+ hours per week available.

Based at the Toowoomba depot, earning a casual pay of $35.58 you will need to be flexible for a variety of shifts, including split shifts for hours any time between 4am - 11pm.

Full training is provided for those without experience.

**The Role**:

- School bus drivers work on school days only with 2 shifts per day. Morning run starting between 6am and 7am and the afternoon at about 2.30pm
- You will be able to be trained for the Urban Routes during school holidays to have additional hours available to you
- Ensure the school lights are operated in accordance with the Act when conducting school services
- Report all incidents and injuries, including completing accident report forms and incident reports, as required
- Report any damage, defect or repairs needed to the bus
- Not have any alcohol or drugs present in their blood or breath immediately before, or while, driving a bus
- Undertake bus services as per the allocated duty sheet
- Provide courteous and efficient services to the travelling public
- Ensure the safety of passengers
- Operate buses in accordance with relevant road laws, other applicable legislation, and Company policies
- Report all safety issues or vehicle defects identified
- Be aware of the carrying capacity of the bus you are driving and ensure that it is not exceeded

**About You**:

- Current QLD MR truck license or higher - Manual
- Drivers Authority or able to be obtained
- Well developed customer service skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Happy to learn
- Flexible with availability and able to work rotating rosters
- Bus industry knowledge preferred but not essential
