Bellbird Park State Secondary College is one of Queensland's newest secondary schools. The school opened in January 2017 for year 7 students and continued to grow a year level at a time until this year, when our first year 12 students will graduate. The College has been founded on strong community relationships. The schools logo, uniform, policies and school vision, mission and values reflect a strong community that seeks high expectations and student outcomes.
As a brand-new school, we are blessed with state-of-the-art facilities and programs to match. Our vision is to ensure that our students receive a years worth of progress for a years input. Our team are passionate and committed to helping students achieve their potential - whatever their ability, wherever they live, whatever their background, no-matter their starting point.
At Bellbird Park State Secondary College, we invest heavily in our beginning and early career teachers. We use a multilayered approach to our support with many and various provisions. Teacher growth is one of the areas we are really passionate about at the college. All our staff, irrespective of career stage and tenure belong to a Collaborative Learning Community which meets regularly to discuss, share and celebrate best practice. These communities are run by teacher facilitators and are a part of our staff meeting schedule.
Staff also engage in various collegial engagement observations across the year. These include: Classroom Observations (linked to Annual Performance Review) and Peer Observations.
