**About the role**:
As a Contract Inspector your role will be to ensure process electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in accordance with Unitywater’s requirements. Working closely with the Principal Contractor and Sub-Contractors, your key functions will include but not be limited to:
- Maintaining a log of events and reporting progress onsite, conveying written instructions and advice to and from the Superintendent, Contractor, and Principal’s Representative, reviewing fabrication drawings, assessing, and advising on progress payments, variations, and other claims.
- Review engineering reports and plans in relation to water supply and sewerage infrastructure and perform inspection services and supervise testing of works.
- Conduct written quality audits to ensure construction performance and compliance to Unitywater quality, safety and environmental standards and legislations.
**About you**:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of **Reliability**, **Safety**, **Honesty** **& Integrity**, **Efficiency**, **One Team**, **Innovation**, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- Previous experience in overseeing contractors and onsite construction activities, coupled with relevant qualifications and a current Qld Electrical licence (unrestricted).
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering drawings and processes, and a working knowledge of water and sewerage infrastructure construction techniques.
- A strong understanding of SCADA / PLC systems, radio / TCP / IP communications and instrumentation used in the water industry.
- Previous experience in producing effective progress reports, coupled with experience in the delivery of capital infrastructure.
- A safety-first attitude, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- C Class Driver’s Licence.
