Warehouse Assistant

**SHARED WAREHOUSE - BULKY CONSUMER GOODS AND GROCERY RETAIL PRODUCTS** **THE ROLE** As a **Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator**you are responsible for safely and efficiently assisting with the inbound and outbound of goods to and from our warehouse. The job will be on site at our Luscombe warehouse 4 days per week (generally 8.30am to 4.00pm), a minimum of 30 hours, but will regularly require more hours / additional day but Monday to Friday only. Your duties will include: - Pick orders & pack / secure to pallets - Pallet wrapping and labelling - Loading and unloading of trucks - Cross checking deliveries against paperwork - Consolidating and "pulling down" inventory ready for packing - Maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding area - Unloading containers from time to time - Participating in stock takes from time to time **ABOUT YOU** If you have experience working in a warehouse environment and a positive, can-do solution focussed attitude, then we want to hear from you. Some of the other things we look out for are: - Forklift licence and a min 2 years experience operating a forklift - Be physically fit - lifting and physical exertion is part of the role - Strong organisational and time management skills - Picking to pallets experience - Ability to work well in a small team and autonomously - Strong work ethic / self starter - Excellent customer service - Eye for detail and accuracy - Willingness to learn - Live within 30 minutes of Luscombe 4207 ideally - Be available to start within 1-2 weeks **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week **Experience**: - Manual handling: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Forklift Licence (required) - Driver Licence (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (required) Work Location: In person Application Deadline: 24/01/2025 Expected Start Date: 27/01/2025
