Service Technician

Job Description:
Position Summary

Your main function will be to provide our customers with service and aftermarket support on crushers, feeders, and screens. You will also assist to broaden the customer base in conjunction with the Service Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance with the Terex Corporation policies, procedures, and work instructions, documented quality system and all OH&S procedures and policies. Participate in and comply with the Company's safety-first culture.- Carry out mechanical repairs and service works, some basic weld repairs, crusher electrical control systems and perform specific machining tasks where required.- Maintain effective communications from within the Service Department with all internal and external customers and team members.- Represent the company in a professional manner when performing work on-site for customers.- Provide support to customers by completing scheduled servicing, periodic inspections, assembly, breakdowns of plant and equipment, repairing equipment and troubleshoot problems as they arise.- Actively engage in improving fault finding and troubleshooting techniques.- Demonstrate attention to detail and be familiar with precision measuring equipment.- Performing other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.- Available to work flexible hours to assist and carry out offsite repairs as well as provide after-hours service to customers.

Position Qualification- Fitter Qualification essential.- A current Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.- Experience in Mining, Quarry or related would be favorable but not essential.- Exposure to Terex Jaques or Cedarapids equipment would be advantageous.- Familiarity to Terex Washing Systems would be beneficial.- Hydraulic experience advantageous.- Dogging and/or Rigging Tickets favorable.- Electrical knowledge and Welding experience would be valuable.- Computer literate.- Available to travel for short periods both interstate and overseas.
