**About headspace**

headspace centres provide timely access to appropriate support to young people aged 12 to 25 including mental health interventions, alongside support for alcohol and drug use, work and employment and sexual and physical health. Headspace Upper Coomera and Southport are part of the Lives Lived Well organisation.

**What’s the role?**

The headspace model provides mental health support through a range of pathways, including by private practitioners using the Medicare MBS billing system. You will be providing evidence based interventions to young people who have a mental health care plan, documenting all interactions to a high standard and completing the required data.

There is a well-established and professional multi-disciplinary team available to provide guidance and recommendations on an ad hoc basis and through scheduled meetings.

**The role requires**:

- Current membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Medicare provider number to be able to bill under medicare and professional indemnity insurance.
- Passion for working with adolescents and young adults
- Capacity for communicating effectively with family members
- Skills to be able to work autonomously and be organised with time and documentation
