Sports Coach

Kelly Sports is currently looking for enthusiastic, active and committed sports coaches. Applicants must be outgoing, friendly, sports minded people who are passionate about working with children and capable of coaching groups with an emphasis on skill development and progression. The roles involve casual hours, rewarded with good remuneration. Some weekend work may be required. Applicants must hold a current driver’s license and have access to a car.

Kelly Sports is a Childsafe organisation and the largest provider of Sports Programs and Clinics for primary school aged children in Australia. Kelly Sports’ goal is to enhance each child’s physical education and wellbeing by providing expert coaching over a wide range of sports including AFL, Soccer, Cricket, Hockey, Softball, Tee-Ball, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Lacrosse, Rugby, Athletics, Golf, Dance and Gymnastics.

Kelly Sports promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children through rigorous reference and background checking and our staff are responsible for promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people by adhering to our child safe policy, codes of conduct and other appropriate policies.

Requirements include:

- Proven experience in coaching children(desirable)
- Child Related Employment Screening Clearance/WWCC (mandatory)
- General Principals of Coaching Course Certificate via Australian Sports Commission (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
- Experience working with primary aged children (desirable)
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviour’s when engaging with children
- Being punctual and reliable
- Your own car
- Good communication skills
- Flexible working hours

Kelly Sports adopts a salary scale based upon a coaches playing and coaching experience, Coaching accreditation, Tertiary qualifications and loyalty. Coaches are paid per session and rates are between $28 and $32 per hour.
