Buyer

**Role Summary**:
Flowserve is seeking a Buyer to support the achievement of our business and supply chain objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing subcontracted components and services under the best possible conditions of price, quality, and deadlines, aligned with global Supply Chain recommendations. You will contribute to the development and implementation of purchasing strategies, supporting Commercial Operations in advanced procurement activities and engineered markets. With full ownership of the supplier portfolio, you will collaborate closely with the supply team to strengthen alignment between purchasing and business strategies, ensuring improved profitability, on-time delivery, and enhanced supplier performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute Just-in-Time principles for the timely supply of materials required for facility projects.
- Negotiate favorable prices and commercial terms to maximize profitability.
- Support service centers during the customer quotation stage to ensure competitive pricing and delivery terms.
- Monitor and follow up on orders with external suppliers and intercompany partners to ensure on-time delivery.
- Identify and resolve issues related to import processes, coordinating solutions to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Establish and maintain supply agreements with key suppliers to secure preferential pricing and reliable delivery.
- Review and manage stock levels to maintain optimal inventory on-site.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant purchasing or supply chain experience.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier negotiations, evaluation, and development.
- Strong understanding of supplier quality, logistics, and market-specific requirements.

**Preferred Experience / Skills**:

- Proficiency in advanced purchasing techniques.
- Demonstrated success in global and strategic negotiations.
- Experience in establishing supplier agreements and long-term partnerships.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
