Our Plant Operators play an essential role in getting us there, by working with our team to help provide valuable waste management solutions to our clients and customers. As a Waste water Operator you will be a fundamental part of the business.

**What’s the Role?**

This role and its duties include the daily operation and maintenance of the waste water system including, supervising the unloading of waste water from haulage trucks. Following established procedures to treat the wastewater to achieve compliant release. The successful applicant will be required to take monthly samples of the waste water for NATA laboratory assessment. Work includes the operation of pumps, valves, and a basic PLC.

**Who you are**
- A strong focus on OH&S
- Well-rounded communication skills
- Proven competencies operating WWTP are highly desirable.
- Current drivers’ license
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys building working relationships both internally and externally.
- desirable if you have a Cert II Water/Wastewater Operations
- Mechanically minded.
- Capable of working alone or within a team

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant and its associated equipment
- The performance of general scheduled and unscheduled minor maintenance tasks,
- Cleaning
- Compliance checks and the completion of system performance reporting is part of this role.
- There is a level of physicality required to complete this role.
- Success in any similar roles or formal training in water and waste water is well regarded but not a requirement as full training can be provided.
