**The Role**

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and approachable **Mathematics Tutor for Years 7-12**. You’ll support high school students across a range of ability levels—from those struggling with the basics to those aiming for Band 6 results. Your role is to make maths click by breaking it down clearly and supporting students to feel confident and capable.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions in maths (Years 7-12).
- Explain concepts clearly and patiently, adapting to each student’s learning style.
- Prepare students for exams, assignments, and assessments with targeted support.
- Reinforce class content, help fill in gaps, and stretch stronger students.
- Provide short progress notes or updates to the CLH team when needed.
- Help maintain a calm, welcoming, and encouraging learning environment.

**What We’re Looking For**
- **Strong maths knowledge**: Confident with topics from Year 7 through to HSC-level content (particularly Stage 6 Advanced and Standard Maths).
- **Excellent communicator**: You can explain difficult ideas in simple, relatable ways.
- **Friendly and reliable**: You build trust easily and show up consistently.
- **Mentor mindset**: You care about helping students grow, not just get through homework.

**Bonus Points For**
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience.
- Currently studying or completed a degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science or a related field.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 12 per week
