Join the hospitality team at the Multicultural Aged Care Illawarra (MACI) residential care home based in Warrawong. MACI provides care and support for older people from culturally and liguistically diverse backgrounds.
**About the role**:
You will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. This involves assisting in food preparation, maintaining orderliness of food supplies and equipment, sanitation control and kitchen equipment maintenance.
Shifts available include 11am - 6.30pm and 2.30pm - 6.30pm throughout the week including weekends and public holidays.
Permanent part time and casual positions available.
**To be successful you will need**:
- Experience in working in a commercial kitchen
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated empathy with and commitment to the care of older people
- Understanding of Infection Control and Safe Work Practices
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to follow workplace guidelines, procedures and policies
