We are looking for a passionate and hardworking **Parks CBD Caretaker **to join our team at Singleton Council. In this role, you’ll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

**THE ROLE**

In your role you will contribute to important community outcomes and making a real impact for Singleton. The natural diversity of your role means that every day will be different. Your role will include primary responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of the town's central business district.

This unique role is supported by and provides support to the broader Parks and Recreation team although you have the autonomy to work independently to make this area your pride and joy for the benefit of the local business owners and our community.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining a small plant and equipment for cleaning, landscaping and street sweeping tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to stakeholder needs.
- Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills including sound conflict resolution skills, negotiation skills and dealing with challenging customers skills.
- WHS Construction Induction (White Card).
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain accurate written and computerised records, undertake calculations and complete forms

Horticulture, green keeping or landscaping experience would be advantageous although not essential, along with Chemical Application Certificate (AQF3).

This position is offered on a **PERMANENT FULLTIME** basis working **76** hours per fortnight. This position works **Tuesday-Saturday** each week with the option for a **9-day fortnight** roster.

Remuneration for this position is based on **5** of the salary system which equates to a base salary between **$52,854.88 to $59,454.72 **per annum plus Saturday shift penalties and superannuation.
