**About AGA**:

**About the role**:
An Education Support Trainee assists teachers in the classroom and give extra attention and support to students with their learning and development. The role involves working in a secondary college with students year 7-12, some students may have learning difficulties and disabilities.

**About you**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in Deer Park during school holidays (optional)
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship
- ** Must not have completed a Certificate III or Higher in Education Support**

**What you will do**:

- Assist and participate in activities which improve the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of students in a secondary school setting
- Prepare indoor or outdoor areas for learning or recreational activities
- Assist in supporting students with intellectual, physical and behavioural difficulties
- Assist students individually to learn social skills
- Assist with the preparation of teaching aids
- Distribute and collect lesson material
