**Silver Porcupine Occupational Therapy Services is looking for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Central Coast team**

We are passionate about empowering independence to children and families to create a sense of well-being and fulfilment to engage in all aspects of life.

We provide a mobile and clinic-based occupational therapy service supporting children within their natural environments across the Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Upper Hunter regions.

We are currently seeking an Allied Health Assistant (OT) based on the Central Coast. The position is part-time with potential for full-time employment.

**About the Role**
- Provide a play-based, fun approach to therapy to facilitate function and improve capacity while following an OT developed program
- Working one-on-one with clients within their natural environments to support them to reach their goals. You will be working with children and young people with varying conditions and disabilities such as ASD, attentional difficulties, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, motor disorders and mental health issues
- Developing therapy resources
- Supervision and support to get the experience you need for keeping up-to-date with evidence-based supports
- The successful applicant will be driven, able to work autonomously and willing to learn

**Role Requirements**
- Be passionate about supporting children and young people
- Hold a Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant Certificate or currently studying an Occupational Therapy undergraduate degree in 3rd or 4th year, though will consider 2nd Year undergraduate
- Current Working with Children Check, NSW Police Check and first aid/CPR and anaphylaxis certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, positive attitude and an ethical approach to working with families and varied cultures
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a growing team
- Current Drivers Licence and own vehicle (Travel costs are reimbursed)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
