**The Department**

The Social Work Department operates in accordance with the philosophy and goals of The Alfred. A focus on the quality of life and participation in care is a primary goal of the Department. Social Work aims to identify and address the psychosocial impacts of illness and hospitalisation for patients and their families by providing a range of services that increase the quality of life and participation in care. Social Work also assists patients and their families with a smooth transition from hospital to home.

**The Role**

**Qualifications/Skills Required**
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
- Applicants must have an understanding of the psychosocial issues associated with a hospital setting
- Applicants will need to have had experience in working within a hospital setting

**This role may require you to work on a rotational basis at The Alfred, Sandringham and Caulfield Hospital**
