**The Role**
MIMCO have a fantastic opportunity for a Jewellery Designer to join the team on a 9 month fixed term contract to lead the design for the Jewellery category. This role is responsible for the research, ranging, design and development of Jewellery in line with brand direction.
You will partner with the Merchandise and Production teams to deliver Mimco brand essence across the Jewellery POD categories, to achieve sales budgets and gross margin targets.
The role has direct accountability for the Mimco brand delivery to market.
**Key Responsibilities**
Lead and mentor the Junior Designer and Design Assistant in all aspects of the design process
Research and identify seasonal key trends including pattern, technique, colour, trim and raw materials
Work collaboratively with the Head of Design, Trend Forecaster & Design Team on product and range direction for the season
Ensure that key aesthetics are covered in accordance with the Brand Strategy and sampled for marketing and brand requirements
Achieve sales budget, profit margin, intake and final margin targets
Analyse weekly sales reports to determine best sellers, areas for growth and opportunities
Keep up to date with customer feedback obtained through social media channels & stores
Understanding and experience in designing and developing jewellery
Experience in buying and sourcing accessories, specifically jewellery
Knowledge of key raw material, specifically metals and precious stones
An excellent communicator, with proven ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to read and analyse sales reports and suggest actions for sales growth, in addition to researching and identifying trends
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign, Microsoft Office suite as well as Hand Sketching
