**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
**About the Role**

Seasons has an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic Kitchenhand to support our friendly team in our well-equipped kitchen at Waterford West. We are looking for a well presented Kitchenhand who is reliable, collaborative and possesses great time management and organisation skills to navigate a busy kitchen. The Kitchenhand will provide valuable support to achieve smooth operations and high quality delivery in a busy kitchen environment, through assisting Chefs with food preparation and storage, washing dishes, kitchen utensils and cleaning work areas.

Part-time or casual opportunities available, with some weekend work required.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Assist the Cook/Chef in the preparation and cooking of food, as required.
- Wash and clean utensils and dishes and ensure they are stored appropriately.
- Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
- Clean up spillages when they occur.
- Dispose of rubbish.
- Handle, sort, store and distribute food items.
- Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Maintain and monitor the company Food Safety Program.
- Follow direction toward portion control, cooking standards and wastage.

- Ability to follow instructions and take direction from the Cook/Chef.
- Understanding of cross contamination risks and importance of hygiene when cleaning for people with low immunity condition.

- Flexibility with hours when workload demands.

**Requirements**:

- Current Police check
- Current First aid and CPR certificate
- Level 1 National Certificate in Hospitality (Foundation Skills)
- Covid-19 vaccine evidence (mandatory)
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
