**About the Role**

The Friends’ School are seeking an experienced and visionary IBDP Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

The IBDP Coordinator will play a pivotal role in guiding staff, students, and families through the unique demands and opportunities of the programme. This role requires an inspiring leader who can champion the IB philosophy, foster a culture of inquiry, and ensure that the needs of students are met with care and precision.

Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day administration of the programme, leading curriculum development and review, supporting teachers in best practice, ensuring IB compliance, and promoting the values of international-mindedness. You will also work closely with students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and personal growth while navigating the challenges of the Diploma.

As the only school in Tasmania to offer the IBDP Programme to students, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to join The Friends' School in shaping globally minded learners who are prepared to thrive in a complex and interconnected world.

**Key Focus Areas**
- Lead the strategic vision and growth of the IBDP within the school.
- Build a culture of academic inquiry, and international-mindedness.
Ensure alignment of teaching programmes with IB standards and practices.
- Monitor and support assessment practices to maintain integrity and consistency.
- Serve as the main liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
- Ensure policies, practices, and reporting requirements are met.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and the IB community.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Registration with the **Teachers Registration Board (TRB)**:

- Current **First Aid & CPR Practical Assessment.**:

- Current **Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People** (employment category)
- A current **National Police Check**
