Job Summary: Designs, develops, delivers and evaluates training materials for services employees located in the region. Ensures all contact centre and customer-facing staff are properly trained in both content knowledge and customer service skills and provides feedback on their performance. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Job Details:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordinates needs analysis activities to determine skills, knowledge and attitude requirements of those to be trained. This includes language, literacy and numeracy capabilities
- Trains all new and current Services staff in departmental functions
- Formats, researches, designs, develops and maintains training course materials and curriculums to Cubic standards and SLAs. These may include manuals, training plans, outlines, learning objectives, instructor guides, student guides, workshop exercises and performance tests
- Create and maintain an engaging learning environment
- Determines instructional methods such as individual education, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops, utilising contemporary learning theory and methods
- Consult with other trainers regarding concept design and development
- Ensures HRIS maintained with training records and training content using prescribed record keeping procedures
- Evaluate learning material on an on-going basis (e.g. feedback from trainers, managers, observation) and adjust appropriately
- Coordinates training conducted by other staff members (e.g. OTJ) to ensure consistency, accuracy and thoroughness
- Develops and conducts assessments to measure learner progress and to evaluate training effectiveness
- Reports progress of all employees to departmental management
- Use of Australian National Training framework to meet vocational educational needs
- Assist regional and global training teams as required
- Build and maintain customer and internal stakeholder relationships

Minimum Job Requirements:
**Qualifications**:

- Current Certificate IV Training, Assessment & Evaluation

Desirable:

- Experience with ITIL, ISO 20000 and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical training
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and measurement of training effectiveness
- Demonstrated success in the design, development, delivery and piloting of training in response to identified training needs and specifications, appropriately utilising a range of best practice training techniques
- Capable of interpreting system specifications to design training material
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Desirable
- Knowledge and experience in SharePoint
- Knowledge and experience working in a project environment delivering technical systems

Personal Qualities
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work with little or no supervision
- Creativity and willingness to implement new approaches.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
