**The role**
Chubb Fire & Security are seeking an experienced Fire Technician, based in Ballarat or Ararat, or surrounding area of the South West region of Victoria, where you will be responsible for fire protection system installation, service/maintenance, testing, preventative fault finding and repairs, on customer premise ensuring compliance with Chubb and regulatory standards.

**This will involve**:

- Identify, test, service, installation, and repair fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance Chubb Fire & Security procedures and processes.
- Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible manner.
- Participation in stock takes and inventory management.
- Inspection, testing and maintenance of fixed fire systems including, fire indicator panels and smoke alarms.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes.

**You will need the following**:

- Previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry is essential.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL) is preferred.
- A construction industry white card (or the ability to obtain one).
- A sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment.
- FPAS or Certificate II in Fire Protection is preferred or willing to obtain with in house training.
- Electrical A Grade licence or Restricted Electrical Licence is advantageous.
- An appreciation of excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with clients on site.
- Cable licence and Scissor Lift Licence is preferred (or the ability to obtain).
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Can prepare written reports and quotations where required.
- Be a proactive member of the team.
