**About the role**

Medical receptionists are considered a vital part of our Bupa model for primary care. As a key member of our team, at Seaforth Medical and Wellbeing Centre, you will contribute to the evolution of a service that is in development, providing an exciting opportunity to be involved in a new model of care and wellness proposition for the community. You will have frontline interaction and be the face of BUPA with patients in person, by telephone and our IT contacts. Please note, this is a permanent part time opportunity 15 hours per week.

**In this role, you will**:
**Ensure the delivery of high quality proactive and preventative medical care to patients by**:

- Being responsible for frontline interaction with patients in person, by telephone, and through IT contacts.
- Management of appointments, enquiries, telephone and IT contacts from patients and other stakeholders.
- Provide support to GPs and other staff in a responsive and proactive manner.
- Process billing, including Medicare Online, in a cash-less environment
- Participate in practice meetings on a regular basis.
- Work with other staff in a team situation to provide efficient, effective and timely care for patients.

**To be successful in this role, you should have**
- Experience as a medical receptionist and relevant qualification
- Strong team player
- Great communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Experience with Best Practice and use of EFTPOS & HICAPS technologies
