**About the opportunity**:
The Finance Cadet role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure to real accounting work. You'll be joining a fantastic Finance team whose members will help mentor you and provide guidance. **Some of the tasks you will gain experience in include**:
- Processing purchase orders, supplier invoices and customer invoices and reconciling daily bank transactions.
- Preparing and posting monthly journals for projects and overheads.
- Completing relevant accounts to review stage, ensuring the balance sheet items in your purview are reconciled.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual FBT return.
- Assisting with month end close tasks.
- Reconciling the insurance bonds and bank guarantees register.
- Dealing with additional ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance team; for example, performing cost review and analysis.
**What you'll bring**:
- Bachelor's degree (or studying towards) qualification in commerce or business with an interest in pursuing a career in accounting/finance.
- Understanding of profit and loss statement, balance sheet, trial balance and debits/credits.
- Good PC skills, with intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- A responsible and positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- A willingness for continuous improvement and learning.
