**The Role**
An opportunity exists for an experienced Business Intelligence Officer to join the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) School of Air Traffic Control (SATC) in a Business and Programming support position.

The APS 6 Business and Intelligence Officer supports training delivery at SATC through programming and management of training activities, resource allocation e.g. scheduling of ATC simulator sessions and workforce planning. Additionally they are responsible to the unit command team for other general business and training support duties.

SATC is a world leading Air Traffic Control training institution, providing initial and post graduate training to Australian Defence Force (ADF) Air Traffic Controllers and International partners. The SATC team is composed of highly skilled and motivated Australian Public Service, ADF and civilian contractor personnel. SATC is located at RAAF Base East Sale and maintains close relationships with other Defence organisations, external contractors and the wider general community.

This includes:

- Critically analyse data to inform, create, implement and maintain current and future planning/scheduling documents.
- Provide specialist advice to the unit command team for long-term staffing projections and course scheduling to meet training throughput demands.
- Proactively engage with the unit command team to coordinate and maximise efficiencies in course planning, schedules and distribution of resources.
- Anticipate, analyse, and respond to training capability conflicts and elevate to the executive for resolution where required.
- Contribute to unit strategic planning, training innovation and improvement processes.
- Liaise with enabling groups to facilitate the development of long range planning tools.
