**Tax Consultant - Advisory and Structuring**

Our client is an award winning Accounting and Tax Advisory firm. They are progressive, fast growing and put their people first. This role sits within their specialist Tax Advisory Team and has access to some of the most interesting and diverse tax advisory work in Australia.

The Tax Consultant works closely with the Manager and Partner within the advisory team to provide tax advice to private business owners, family groups and high net worth individuals across a number of industries.

The Tax Consultant will research and assist with the provision of a wide range of tax advice to a portfolio of clients and their related groups. The role will include:

- Advising clients on complex tax restructures, purchase and sale of businesses, expanding overseas and acquisition/sale/development of property.
- Corporate tax including consolidations, TOFA, Division 7A, SBCGT.
- International tax advice and structuring.
- GST, payroll tax and other indirect taxes
- Degree in Laws or Commerce
- Part completed Masters in Taxation preferred (but not essential)
- 2 - 3 years Tax Consulting experience ideally from a legal or accounting environment
- Technically sound and motivated to stay up to date.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Client-focused and seeks to add value to every engagement.
- Willing to complete further studies such as the CTA or Master of Taxation.
- Have an ability to problem solve, generate ideas and alternative solutions to complex issues.
- As their core business is based around business owners, have a genuine interest in and willing to develop an understanding of our clients businesses and industries.
