Pegasus Care is seeking suitably qualified Disability Support Workers to support a young indigenous man to manage his day to day life. He is an active young man that enjoys time in nature, playing sports, music, art and getting out and about.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to work within a tightknit team, ability to set personal and professional boundaries and have experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities/complex behaviours, AOD challenges and addiction issues.

The role requires staff to be available to work a 24/7 roster which will include weekends and public holidays. To ensure the smooth running of the Service, staff will need to commit to a minimum of 30hpw.

We are looking for committed people who are willing to provide residential support, as well as support to access the wider community. You should also be willing to assist with skill development and to provide assistance to ensure the client meets his goals within a Person-Centred framework.

To be successful, you will need well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.

Training will be provided as required.
- NDIS Worker Clearance Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You

- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- **NSW Drivers Licence**, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
- 100 points of ID
- The right to work in Australia

**Highly Regarded**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability Work / Mental Health (or similar)
- Previous sector experience/ experience with addiction and or psychosocial issues.
- Behaviour support/Challenging Behaviours
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (3 doses)
- Dual Diagnosis
- Provision of Community Access.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.26 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
