About the Role
The AGL Cybersecurity Advisor is responsible for the management and delivery of security services from strategy, requirements,
Cybersecurity advisors consult with the businesses to point out potential security weaknesses, develop security policies and
minimize risk to computer systems. Cybersecurity evaluations and assessments in collaboration the business units in AGL and make recommendations for improvements.
What you'll be doing:
- Establishes, builds and maintains highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Acts as the key communication conduit between security teams and business units- Works collaboratively with managers and key people across AGL to provide advice to relating to security policy and the provision of expert IT security advice and assistance avoiding duplication of effort and expense.- Maintains situation awareness of cyber security issues, through our SOC and operations teams, and takes action to keep business leaders in AGL informed as appropriate.- Takes action to educate the security communities of interest to raise security awareness of cyber security and IA issues as required.- Seen as a credible source of information and positive security advice and provides cyber security education.- Understands security technology, solutions, processes and procedures and is able to translate technical concepts into business contexts- Establishes close working relationships with stakeholders and ensures that cyber security advice relevant and timely.- Develop strong relationships across Technology, AGL business units, regulatory bodies and AGL customer groups.- Develop, collaborate on and communicate business cyber security strategies for managing risk and security threats to AGL- Provide cyber security advisory and security solution services to each of the business units including gap analysis and alignment to the AGL control framework inputting into the overall security strategy- Manage the team of security architects, designers and business unit facing engineers
About You
Being collaborative through engagement by providing guidance and offering to assist business units in becoming more secure in their approach to technology in AGL and in order to deliver cybersecurity
services through liaison and outreach assistance.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Certified information security professional or experience with information security as part of an ICT role- Expert knowledge in IT security and/or ICT policy, particularly computer security, network security and computer network defence.- Sound working knowledge of frameworks, processes and methodologies that contribute to excellent client engagement- Highly developed communication skills and relationship management skills.- Experience as a security consultant.- Corporate risk management experience- Experience as a customer relationship manager.- Programme or project management experience
