We are currently in market to hire a Security Analyst for a newly created role within our Customer Operations Team. This role will be responsible for the security monitoring, investigating, threat hunting and reporting of events across ARQ's technology estate.

Specifically, we want you to use industry best practice, coupled with a strong awareness of current and emerging threats in order to evaluate ARQ's technical environments and recommend opportunities for improvements and risk mitigation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Utilise various sources of security event information to monitor for anomalous or suspicious activity and perform initial stages of investigation.
- Oversee the health of the security controls deployed into the estate, troubleshooting/investigating issues and escalating to the Security Engineers as required.
- Respond to security incidents, following the standards and guidelines as set out by the function.
- Facilitate external/internal penetration testing/vulnerability scanning.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong curiosity in understanding ‘how stuff works'.
- Strong networking experience - particularly a good understanding of how user/web/server communications function.
- Good understanding of common operating systems; Windows, Linux, MacOS.
- Genuine interest in the security industry, a thirst to learn new skills and a self-starter.
- Good communicator, capable of explaining technical concepts to various audiences with differing levels of technical understandings.
- Good understanding of public cloud offerings and capabilities.
