Are you caring, compassionate and eager to help others?

As a Care Companion your responsibilities will include a wide range of activities that support older Australians and their families to remain independent in their home. This can include taking people to medical appointments, social events, providing some personal care and light domestic support.

**About you**:

- You genuinely care for others
- You can see what the clients need to support them and adapt your care to achieve this
- You try hard each day to make your clients life that little bit sweeter
- You have life experience and understand that we are all different and celebrate choice and diversity
- You have a wicked sense of humour and have the ability to connect with people

**About the role** - in this role you can expect to undertake duties which enable others to live their life to the fullest and may include:

- Assist with personal care
- Support with medications
- Provide respite services to carers
- General household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, light gardening
- Cooking
- Transporting the client to appointments
- Arranging and accompanying client on outings
- Caring for pets
- Engaging in leisure activities with the client, including fun things like going to the swimming pool and gym

Experience and requirements of the role:

- Experience with caring for clients with High Care Needs
- First aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate in care would be desirable but **not** essential
- Ability to drive a standard car
- Provision of a car suitable for client transportation
- You must have the rights to work in Australia
- Have a smart phone and are not afraid to use it
- Be able to commit to consistent ongoing hours
