Transaction Services Assistant

**Salary**: $42.54 - $49.18 per hour plus superannuation
**The opportunity**:
As a Transaction Services Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated finance function supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations across MCRI and VCGS. Improving research resources and services
Delivering an excellent research environment
By streamlining operations and strengthening support systems, we help our world-class researchers make discoveries that positively impact the health and wellbeing of children everywhere.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices and manage discrepancies
Handle non-PO invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals
Review and process staff reimbursements in compliance with policy
Maintain and verify supplier data, including ABNs and GST status
Support payment runs, audits, and compliance requirements
Accounts Receivable
Generate and issue invoices and follow up on overdue accounts
Process Medicare claims, payments, and EFT/BPay receipts
Manage patient and customer queries
Coordinate with debt collection providers as required
Process refunds, donations, and ad hoc payments
Contribute to improvements in reporting and documentation
You’ll also have opportunities to assist with broader finance tasks and support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
