Boilermakers

Caporn Piling is seeking Boilermakers to join our national team. Caporn Piling has over 50 years’ experience in the piling industry and employs some of the most experienced pilers in Australia. The team of over 60 professionals have worked on some of the largest and most technically challenging projects in Australia. Our head office is located in Queensland and we have multiple projects site based opportunities across Australia.

Caporn Piling provides expert foundation design and construction solutions for large and technically challenging commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure, mining and resource sectors.

As a Boilermaker, the responsibilities and duties will include:

- Manufacture and repair of piling equipment / fabricating and constructing metal components for pile construction
- Interpret technical drawings, certified welding, grinding and arc gouging
- Double checking drawings before commencing with cutting work
- Performing quality checks on completed products
- Comply with nationally recognized acceptance criteria - TMR & RMS
- Manual handling of heavy goods where required
- Maintain daily logs and records of work performed including maintenance checks, pre-starts etc.
- Housekeeping of equipment and site
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)
- Previous boiler making experience
- Construction Industry Safety Card
- The ability to work at heights as required
- Current Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/ alcohol screen (as required by our clients)
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Willing to travel and work away from home as required

**Salary**: $47.55 - $50.87 per hour (Commensurate with skillset and experience)
