**LEGAL ASSISTANT WANTED - LAUNCESTON, TASMANIA**

Leslie Family Law are looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team in-person at their office in Launceston, Tasmania.

Leslie Family Law have offices located in the Melbourne CBD in Victoria, as well as Launceston CBD in Tasmania.

**Skills and Experience**

Leslie Family Law is looking to add a new member to their team to fill the role of Legal Assistant/Secretary in our Launceston office.

The successful applicant will have:

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients;
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and Legal Practice Software (such as LEAP or similar); and
- Capacity to work efficiently in a team environment supporting the work of our family lawyers.

**About the Role**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Meeting, greeting, and liaising with clients and other practitioners;
- Answering and screening calls, and making calls;
- Mail distribution and collection;
- Using legal software (LEAP) to set up, manage and work within active files;
- Efficient typing of dictation of legal documentation and correspondence;
- Editing and amending legal documentation and correspondence;
- Filing documents with the Commonwealth Courts Portal and using programs such as eBrief Ready;
- Managing bookings and calendars for solicitors;
- Basic legal accounting tasks such as logging anticipated payments, reviewing time sheets, creating office invoices; and
- General administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, faxing, printing, and photocopying.
