Playgroup Assistant

**Introduction**:
CRCS is a dynamic and community-focused organization committed to enhancing the well-being of families in the Capital Region. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Education and Care portfolio as Playgroup Assistant. This role involves supporting the Playgroup Facilitator in implementing a program at each of the playgroups across Canberra. It includes set-up and pack-up of each playgroup, sanitising equipment, engaging with children and their families. This is a permanent part time position working 20 hours per week across the ACT region.
**Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in facilitating playgroups across ACT and Capital Regions - includes set-up and pack-up of groups in the community.
- Maintaining resources and resource storage, ensuring hygiene and safety standards.
- Record-keeping and administration of group attendances and other relevant information in the relevant computer-based management system and hard files.
- Working in partnership with the team of Family Education Practitioners and other Families team members to provide holistic support to families.
- Collating attendance records to provide data to Program Manager for reporting purposes as required.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education qualification
- First Aid certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.

- Experience in delivering programs to a diverse demographic, including children, families, and seniors.
- Commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

- Strong time management skills, including effective forward planning, coordination, prioritization, and task management.

**CRCS also requires all employees to**:

- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
