**Job Summary**

Part Time role
- CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT

For this role, we are looking for a happy, vivacious and enthusiastic person to join our small team. Must love working with people and be able to work autonomously. The position is aprox 15 hours a week covering morning, afternoon and Saturday morning shifts. With ability to cover holidays and sick days if needed.

Previous experience in the health industry would be advantageous, but not essential. Typical tasks to be undertaken include liaising with patients, receipting and making appointments, answering telephone and general office duties. Any specialised training will be provided on the job.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Chiropractic Assistant**
- Greets patients and checks them in.
- Manages the practice’s schedule, makes appointments for patients, determines when the chiropractor is available and confirms appointments.
- Collects and processes payments from patients and insurance companies.
- Controls the waiting room, attends to patient needs, and ensures the office runs on time.
- Maintains organized files on all patients and enters data.
- Answers the phones and makes follow up calls to patients.
- Keeps the office clean and presentable, doing spot cleaning throughout the day.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Must be personable, compassionate and able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patient.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must have strong communications skills and be able to relate to people from all walks of life.
- Its helpful but not essential to be proficient with technology
- Punctuality a must for setting up the chiropractic clinic before shift begins.
- Applicants residing in Gungahlin area is preferred
- Must be available for Clinic shift hours 7-11:30am and 2:30-7pm

Common touch points regularly wiped down and sanitized. Request patients with any symptoms to reschedule appointment. Keep numbers in clinic to a minimum
