Counsellor

**About the Role**

Flourish Holistic Services Pty Ltd are looking for a Casual **Counsellor** for the **Child Youth, Family Support Program and Adults **based at the Flourish Holistic Services Pty Ltd.

The **Counsellor **will be responsible for;
- Provide counselling and support to children, young people, non-offending parents, and adults.
- Provide consultation and supportive intervention to families across program areas of service delivery of Safety and prevention and Out of Home Care services
- Deliver services to children, young people, families, and adults in accordance with Flourish Holistic Services Pty Ltd policies, procedures, and practice guidelines
- Monitor child protection concerns, consult and act in accordance with the Vic Children and Young Person’s (Care and Protection) Act, Mandatory Reporter Guide and Flourish Holistic Services Pty Ltd “Reporting Child Abuse” Policy

**About You**
As a **Counsellor** you will ideally have;
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Science, Community Services, or a related field.
- Approval to provide Victims Compensation Counselling.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs and concerns of families and children within the Cumberland LGA and Greater Sydney area.
- Sound knowledge of dynamics of sexual assault, domestic and family violence.
- 2- or 5-years’ experience working with children and young people and their family.
- Experience in engaging with individuals, children, young people, and families in counselling.
- Experience in advocating for children, young people and families who have experienced sexual harm and/or domestic violence.
- Experience in service delivery to CALD and ATSI clients.

- **Salary: Range $27.00 - $30.00 plus superannuation. Travel Allowance will be paid. **_To be considered for roles with Flourish Holistic Services you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the VICTORIAN Drivers License, Working with Vulnerable People Card, and Workers Screening Check.
