Optical Assistant/dispenser

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced optical dispenser looking for an exciting and challenging role? If you love interacting with customers and want more than "just dispensing," Richard Lindsay and Associates have the perfect opportunity for you **As an Optical Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in our practice.** **Your responsibilities will include** - pre-screening patients, - assisting with fitting contact lenses, - providing instructions for insertion and removal, - assisting with Paediatric dispensing, - frame selection, - as well as reception and administration duties. Beyond dispensing glasses, you'll gain insights into the clinical side of optometry, dealing with fascinating cases like keratoconus, congenital cataracts, corneal grafts, and more. **The following attributes will support you in your new role**: - At least 6-12months optical experience - Self-motivated and open to change - Thrive in a team environment - Quick thinker - Strong multi-tasking abilities - Strong work ethic **And you will be supported by us through**: - A work-life balance with no late nights or weekends + RDO every fortnight (9-day fortnight) - Be part of a highly skilled and supportive team, receiving both internal and external training - Work in a lively and social environment with experienced professionals - Challenging role - more than "just dispensing" - A chance to increase your skills in other areas of optometry - Paediatric contact lenses, contact lens fittings & develop clinical optometry skills. **Be a part of a culture that is**: Enthusiastic, Supportive, Hard worker, Dynamic, Professionalism, Patient-focused, Trustworthy and Reliable **About the Practice**: Richard Lindsay and Associates has been a leader in the industry since 1998, renowned for providing specialist contact lens care and comprehensive eye examinations.
