SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Outline your experience working with people living with mental illness/disability, particularly in a supported residential setting.

2. Outline your understanding of issues pertaining to mental illness/or disabilities and the impact on individuals, families and communities.

3. Outline your understanding of the theoretical approach which supports the recovery of people with mental ill-health and how to support people with a disability, including people with autism.

4. Discuss your ability/experience in working both autonomously and as part of a team.

5. Experience in supporting people with a disability, including knowledge of Person-Centred Practice, Restrictive Practices, positive behaviour support and active support would be highly regarded.

6. Ability to identify and understand challenges facing people from culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.

7. Describe your level of computer competency and administrative skills, including preparation of reports and record keeping.

8. Describe your communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

9. A minimum Certificate III in Disability Work or Community Service Work

10. A current driver's licence (CP2 minimum)

11. A current First Aid Certificate (essential)

12. A Working with Children Clearance (essential)

13. A Police Check Clearance (essential)

14. NDIS workers check (willing to obtain one if successful)

15. Proof of Covid19 Vaccination

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Campbelltown NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
