Job Description

As a Maintenance Fitter at Inghams, located in Edinburgh Parks within the Further Processing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This permanent, full-time position falls under the Operations category and offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to contribute to our team. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and mínimal downtime.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions to rectify them.
- Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components as necessary.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times while carrying out maintenance activities.
- Collaborating with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise disruption to operations.
- Documenting maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements, for record-keeping purposes.

**Main Tasks**:

- Inspecting machinery and equipment to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Lubricating moving parts of machinery to ensure proper functioning and prevent wear-and-tear.
- Utilising hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Ordering replacement parts and maintaining inventory levels to support timely repairs when needed.
