As the Procurement Officer (Support Unit), you will be responsible for all purchasing activities including all Strategic & tactical procurement tasks and administrative duties in Australia for both entities Doka Australia as well as Lubeca. There will be certain tasks that may also be required for Middle East African and Asia Pacific Countries.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Planning, Organizing and implementing all operational procurement activities for Doka Australia and Lubeca in order to achieve:
- Compliance of the regional P2P process according to Global PCM guidelines including coordination with stakeholders to comply with procurement policies and processes.
- Assessment of demand and scheduling
- Handling daily purchasing including the full P2P process including follow up orders and ensure delivery (including rescheduling)
- Handling and resolving claims/ complaints
- Work with other members of the strategic procurement team to develop and implement P2P initiatives to reduce transaction costs, consolidate volume and create efficiency
- Assisting with the preparation of new vendor registration and ensuring all new vendor documentation are successfully uploaded into the system.
- Supporting the internal customers to ensure that targets and metrics are achieved
- Planning, Organizing and implementing all strategic procurement activities for Doka Australia and Lubeca in order to achieve:
- Conduct a detailed Spend analysis and create high level of spend transparency for the Australian entities
- Supplier base optimization (including supplier assessment process) across both entities in Australia
- Synergy savings across both entities in Australia
- Assess & identify supply risks and define & implement measures to mitigate those risks
- Planning and aligning all strategic activities for Doka Australia and Lubeca with Area Procurement scope for MEAAP in order to achieve:
- Synergies within the Area especially for Area/global standard products & services
- Implementation of Area best practices within the Australian entities and export the local best practices into Area and Global teams
- Continuously look for opportunities and leverage emerging market suppliers from Asia especially China, Vietnam, India and Turkey to achieve savings for Australian entities
**Qualifications**
- A technical, commercial or purchasing qualification or equivalent (or appropriate experience)
- Minimum of five years’ work experience in operational procurement
- Experience in customer service/procurement with the ability to resolve complex situations and order fulfillment issues
- Good understanding of Formwork & Scaffolding business, its supplier markets and sources especially in China, India and MEA markets
- Solid understanding of the purchase to pay process
- Operational procurement knowledge
- Understanding of Discos operational systems for the inventory item ordering process is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Knowledge in SAP/R3-Ariba system is highly desirable.
