Graduate Finance Analyst

For nearly six decades, Hardware & General has been a cornerstone of support for the building industry in Sydney. We are now in search of Finance Associate Analyst to join our Brookvale Team and contribute to the growth and success of our Finance division.

**Your Role**

This role is best suited for finance students. This is a great opportunity to work on real business cases.

The Finance Associate Analyst gathers, organises and analyses financial data, both past and present to be used by operational and finance staff to improve decision making.

In addition, they provide generalist administrative support to the main office, with a key focus on front-desk reception back-up.

**General Responsibilities**
- General & Reception_
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
- Answers and refers inquiries to the appropriate staff member on a timely basis
- Directs visitors
- Assists in maintaining employee and department directories
- Receives and dispatches deliveries
- Assists in managing office supplies and inventory, such as stationery, equipment and furniture for the head office and administrative departments, and placing orders for replenishment as needed
- Places orders for business cards and distributes as needed
- Distributes and posts mail as required
- Conducts filing for all support office functions
- Co-ordinates office services (such as cleaners and maintenance contractors)
- Assists with management of company records, including archives
- Finance_
- Analyses current and past financial data under instruction
- Prepares reports for the Financial Controller
- Assists with the end of month process
- Assists with Financial Modelling and Business Analytics
- Performs ad-hoc finance administration duties, including:

- Order releases for accounts receivable
- Data entry for accounts payable
- EFT over-the-counter processing
- Till reconciliation of local till at end of day
- Assists with accounts receivable end-of-month (EOM) processing
- Assists in processing of AMEX, VISA, and Mastercard/Bpoint transition EOM payments, and one-off payments
- Assists with sending of hard copy statements and marketing material at the beginning of each month
- Drafting of accounts receivable correspondence

- Excellent communication skills, with superior telephone manner, customer relations skills and presentation
- Courteous
- Experience with statistical analysis
