Injection Moulding Technician

Labourpower Trade are looking for experienced Mould Technicians for ongoing work in the Plastics industry.

Our client manufactures plastic packaging within the food industry.

This position is working a rotating roster of 1 week of afternoon shift and 1 week of night shift. The start times are 2.45pm afternoon and 10.45pm for night shift.

**Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to**:

- Set-up of moulding jobs
- Assist with die setting
- Assist in set-up of ancillary equipment (i.e. hot stampers, sonic welders).
- Changeovers of moulded products (i.e. colour changes, material changes).
- Request repairs or improvements to tooling or machinery from Tool room or Maintenance Departments.
- Ensure processes, machinery and tooling are operating in safe condition.
- The quality of output in accordance with quality specifications.

**To be successful for this position**:

- Previous experience in a plastic mould Technician position
- Experience with die setting, insert changes and machine start up and shutdown
- Experience with troubleshooting to maintain our accepted quality of products
- Maintaining cycle times

**Experience**:

- Plastic injection moulding: 3 years (required)
- Moulding technician: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
