**Purpose**:
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the Store by achieving Business sales and profitability targets, promoting high levels of customer service and compliance as well as managing and motivating the team.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
**People & Leadership**
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Store team, determining work requirements and priorities, assigning tasks to maximise Store performance.
- Monitor performance of shifts run by Assistant Managers and Shift Supervisors.
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels for service to labour targets, including recruitment, weekly rosters and effective succession planning.
- Identify and develop key talent within the Store, ensure a solid succession.
**Store Manager**
- Develop and implement a recruitment plan to ensure a sufficient number of appropriately trained Crew to maintain the succession pipeline and cost requirements of the Store.
- Manage employee performance in line with business procedures; including reward, counselling and performance appraisals/management.
- Ensure compliance with and integrity of all employment conditions including, Enterprise Agreement, leave management, payroll, terminations and contracts of employment.
- Train and coach Assistant Managers, Shift Supervisors and Crew Trainers for the release of new products and equipment, utilising Learning Pathways, materials and assessments, inductions and skill checks.
- Ensure all employees are inducted and trained in accordance with the Company Safety Policy to ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, customers, visitors and contractors.
- Follow all Training Pathways for AM, SS, CT and Crew and measure their completion rates to ensure all Crew training is 100% complete and signed off, and that all crew are trained to be multi-skilled within the first 6 months of employment (to improve Crew productivity on shift).
- Handle employee and parent complaints in an effective and timely manner, seeking guidance when required.
- Ensure all AM and SS complete required pathways and company run training programs and events when and as required.
**Shift Management**
- Maintain and control the production of food preparation and cooking for the duration of the shift including the flow line and heat chute.
- Implement promotions in accordance with guidelines issued.
- Guarantee 100% product availability by accurately placing and controlling the ordering of stock, ensuring adequate supply of all ingredients with mínimal waste.
- Ensure all areas of the Store are presented in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures.
- Perform opening and closing and all other daily routines in accordance with policy and procedures,
- Oversee the ordering, receiving and storage of all stock in line with company policies and procedures, ensure mínimal wastage and inter Store transfers.
- Ensure Menu Boards, and all visual display / point of sale materials and stock presentation are in accordance with national layouts and guidelines.
- Ensure all administration is correctly carried out as per policy, procedures and timelines, using and completing all reports required during each shift, the storing of stock, food handling, operating POS, cash handling, banking procedures and rostering of staff.
- Ensure cash handling policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintenance of store equipment is within the company’s policies and procedures.
- Oversee all Food Safety practices in Store and their compliance to company policy.
**Sales & Profitability**:
- Maximise gross profit by minimising waste, ensure waste is recorded, perform stock takes in accordance with time frames and guidelines and ensure all discounts are given within policy and procedures guidelines.
- Ensure trading profit budgets are met by analysing period trading reports and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in Store profitability within the scope of company policies and procedures.
- Manage remuneration (REM) costs by maximising Store productivity, average hourly rate and provide
REM projections in accordance with guidelines.
- Manage expenses to budget without comprising Store standards.
- Ensure staff actively “suggestive sell” to all customers.
- Understand and interpret P&L statements and take appropriate actions in liaison with Business Consultant.
- Ensure complete understanding of all Store systems and processes to maximise results.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Managers to detail results and implement action plans to achieve results.
- Review and analyse business results to be able to communicate them to relevant stakeholders as needed.
**Customer Service**
- Provide efficient and friendly service to all customers, visitors and contractors.
