
Teacher - Secondary - Sports Coordinator - Merrimac

Activities for which the Sports Co-Ordinator is responsible for include:
- Managing representative coaching and sporting access for elite competitions
- Beginning high level representative programs
- Promotions and fee structure management
- Co-ordination of Interschool Sport teams which includes rolls, uniforms and equipment, buses, venues, risk assessments
- Liaise with Administration for TRS teachers when staff are absent for sport
- Co-ordination of Representative Sport for District and Regional events
- Co-ordination of Recreational Sport Program each semester for students not involved in school teams
- Planning and organising Inter-House carnivals
- Liaise with sports co-ordinators from other schools for interschool sport
- Attend District Sport meetings when held
- Maintain a list of student sporting achievements for Sports Awards evening
- Planning and organising Sports Awards evening
- Promote and provide sport information on assemblies
- Complete excursion forms for sporting events / activities
- Communicate with parents regarding representative sporting events
- Provide sport news items for school newsletter

- A brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history)
- 1-pg written statement about how your achievements and capabilities meet the requirements of the role.
- Pre-service teachers are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, unofficial academic transcript for current course of study
