Trade Assitants

Ideally, you have worked in a similar role and are familiar with the requirements in helping engineering trades on-site. With shuts ranging from 7 - 10 days, we are seeking committed Trade Assistants who are willing to work 12-hour days and have a strong safety focus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting the fitters and welders as required in set up and clean up
- Strip, clean and assess parts/components
- General assembly of parts/mechanical
- Basic use of hand/power tools as required
- Firewatch
- Housekeeping

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience in a similar environment assisting trades
- Rio Tinto Induction (essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work up to 12 hrs if required
- Attention to detail as well as a commitment to safety
- confined space & working at heights tickets
- Fire training / First Attack firefighting training
