Caporn Piling is seeking Drill Rig Offsiders to join our national team. Caporn Piling has over 50 years’ experience in the piling industry and employs some of the most experienced pilers in Australia. The team of over 60 professionals have worked on some of the largest and most technically challenging projects in Australia. Our head office is located in Queensland and we have multiple projects site based opportunities across Australia.

Caporn Piling provides expert foundation design and construction solutions for large and technically challenging commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure, mining and resource sectors.

As a Drill Rig Offsider, the responsibilities and duties will include:

- Assist operator in installation of driven & drilled piles
- Rigging piles / offsiding around piling rigs
- Report to the Piling Foreman
- Manual handling of heavy goods where required
- Maintain daily logs and records of work performed including maintenance checks, pre-starts etc.
- Housekeeping of equipment and site
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Current Driver’s License
- Knowledge of piling techniques such as Bored, CFA, Driven etc
- Previous offsiding experience 6-12m
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy plant equipment
- Experience working with the following rigs: Bauer (BG15, BG20, BG24, BG28 and BG45), Soilmec SR60, Woltman THW, or similar
- Construction Industry Safety Card
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/ alcohol screen (as required by our clients)
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Willing to work in a variety of weather conditions
- The ability to work at heights as required
