Barista and Bartender

**PAY RATES**:
**$26.73 **per hour for Barista Shifts

**$28.46 **per hour for Bartender Shifts

**As BARISTA, duties includes**:

- Making high standard Barista style coffees with coffee art
- Taking beverage orders in a friendly manner
- Providing exceptional 6-star customer service to all our customers and guests
- Managing the coffee bar in a fast-paced environment
- General duties such as setting up the coffee bar, cleaning your workspace, sanitizing surfaces, stacking and unstacking the dishwasher, bin runs etc.
- Coffee machine cleaning and maintenance
- Cash handling
- Up-selling and cross-selling any relevant services and products
- Assisting the Supervisor/Manager in ad hoc tasks, as required

**As BARTENDER, duties includes**:

- Ensure bar is set-up, prepared and functioning on time
- Ensure all beverage preparation is completed in a safe, hygienic and timely manner, at all times.
- Welcoming customers, and listening to clients to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
- Informing customers about drinks menu, new beverages and specials
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Taking inventory and requesting supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure bar equipment/ accessories are used and cleaned appropriately, and safely stored away, by agreed time

**Expectations**:

- Previous experience in a similar position and work environment is essential
- Understanding of the Food Safety legislation and Food Handling requirements
- Barista Certification (Nationally Accredited)
- RSA Certification
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Strong time management skills
- Well-groomed and neat presentation
- Positive attitude, friendly, respectful and helpful at all times
- Must be organised and have clean work processes
- Understanding of OH&S standards and practices

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $26.73 - $28.46 per hour
